      Founded on the 1st of mars 1259 by le sénéchal d'Agen Guillaume de Bagnols for Alphonse de Poitiers, thanks given to the free donation of the lands by the Cadouin Abbey and the lords Bertrand and Arnaud de Mons.

              Built by Alfonse de Poitiers this Bastide over- looks the valley of the Dropt. Parts of the arcades and ramparts still exist and the houses date from the middle ages through to the 18th. century. There is a 13th century church visible from the valley below.
