The church is much bigger than we could wait, given the real size the bastide of Molieres reached. As it seems, the building began at the same time the streets and the bailiff house were designed. This would oblige that the church took its planned dimensions and ended its building before the rest of the development were abandoned. It is Plantegenet Gothic style, with wooden covers. It is dedicated to Virgin Mary. We can have an idea of its size looking at the photos, but if we think about the fact that originally it had one more tower (same as the one thatīs still standing), we feel more amazed. Thatīs it, this second tower was standing, but went down and now we only have the view of the remaining one. The first photo is the view we have of the church from the Le Porche main bedroom (bailiffīs house). |
